It<br \/>\nhas been revamped<br \/>\nover the years with<br \/>\nan orchid garden<br \/>\nsheltering a variety<br \/>\nof local and exotic<br \/>\nspecies of orchid, a<br \/>\nlaboratory for tissue<br \/>\nculture, a mini zoo<br \/>\nand a bird<br \/>\nsanctuary, and has<br \/>\nbeen upgraded to a<br \/>\nflora and fauna<br \/>\nresearch centre.<\/p>\n<p>The garden now serves as a research centre for local and foreign researchers, and it is<br \/>\nprojected to become a vehicle for the preservation and propagation of floral and faunal<br \/>\nspecies not only within the country but around the globe as well.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Though the Htoo Foundation can be said to be still in its infancy, it has completed its first project at Pyin Oo Lwin in Mandalay Division where the national Kandawgyi Gardens were originally founded in 1915 as a recreational park.
