An Opening and Handing over Ceremony of a new school building by Htoo Foundation
\nto the Township Education Department was held at Myoma 2 nd quarter 10 th mile
\nKanpetlet basic primary school on 18 June 2013.<\/p>\n
The ceremony was attended by the Chief Minister of Chin State U Hone Ngaing,
\nEducation and Social Minister Dr Ba Maung.<\/p>\n
The ceremony started at 2:00 P.M. Chin Traditional Insignia were handed to the Esteem
\nGuests, primary school students entertained with traditional dances and traditional
\ndances by the Chin National dance troupe.<\/p>\n
At the auspicious time of 2:30 P.M. the Chief Minister U Hone Ngaing, Education and
\nSocial Minister Dr Ba Maung and Htoo Foundation Chairman U Kyaw Thiha cut<\/p>\n
ribbons and opened the school.<\/p>\n
Opening remarks was given by the Chief Minister and Htoo Foundation\u2019s Chairman U
\nKyaw Thiha explained the cause of building and donating the school.<\/p>\n
All the related documents of the new school building was then handed over to the
\nKanpetlet Education Officer.<\/p>\n
School uniforms, back packs and stationary for the students were handed over to the
\nPrincipal.<\/p>\n
A Community elder said words of thanks to the Chief Minister and Htoo Foundation
\nChairman for attending the Opening and handing over ceremony.<\/p>\n
The dimension of the school is 80 ft X 30 ft single story brick nogging. All class room
\nfurniture, toilet and water tank were built together.<\/p>\n
Kanpetlet 2 nd quarter is the relocated Htet Shwee village from Nat ma taung forest
\nreserve, the existing school building cannot accommodate the children from the newly
\nrelocated families.<\/p>\n
The Donation amounts to 50,000,000 Kyats.<\/p>\n
Htoo Foundation is proud to donate the school to the Families who moved from the Nat
\nMa Taung in order that the Forest preservation and protection could be done.<\/p>\n
