In honor of the National Day of Myanmar, a mini-marathon race was organized by Htoo<\/p>\n
Foundation in putao on the National Day of Myanmar whish falls on 8 th December 2012.
\nStarting at the Airport Road Junction at 6:00 am. participants in the 14-mile to Mulasheedi
\nvillage and returned to the finish line at People’s Sport Grounds.<\/p>\n
700 runners participated in the race and 36 prizes were awarded. The prizes comprise one<\/p>\n
first prize of kyat 500,000 and a trophy, a second prize of Kyat 400,000 and a trophy, a
\nthird prize of Kyat 300,000 and a trophy, a fourth prize of Kyat 200,000 and a trophy, a
\nfifth prize of Kyat 100,000 and a trophy, five consolation prizes, 20 prizes for runners who
\ncrossed the finish line, 3 prizes for female runners who crossed the finish line, a prize for
\nthe oldest runner who crossed the finish line, a prize for the youngest runner who crossed
\nthe finish line and one special prize for the best loser.<\/p>\n
Htoo Foundation’s mini-marathon is the first event of its kind that has been held in Putao,
\nand it is planned to be held annually. The race was organized under the directives of the
\nDistrict Administrator of Putao, the leadership physical Education Committee, and the
