The orange plantation at Pyin Oo Lwin was started on 8 December, 2005 employing 33
local employees. The area of the plantation is 395 acres and 38,274 orange trees were
planted. The local residents are given both theoretical and practical training on the
techniques of planting and nurturing the orange tree.
